Swan and Clouds

H and I walked a circular route from Selbrigg Pond where we came across a pair of mute swans with seven almost adult-sized cygnets.  The route took us across a field, negotiating out way carefully around some cows sitting in the middle of the path, and onto Baconsthorpe Castle.  I've no photos of the castle as it's surrounded by safety fencing and closed whilst some repairs are carried out.

After coffee and a biscuit we returned along the edge of Baconsthorpe village where I photographed this gorgeous cat (see extra) and onto Hempstead before returning across fields to the car.

A very enjoyable walk in beautiful weather, warm and sunny but a comfortable temperature.
