A Gondolier

One of the first gondoliers - the five ladies who travelled - saw in Venice.

He wasn't doing the punting for the traghetto - a larger gondola with no seating - we took a ride in. Found it quite difficult to keep our balance - the Grand Canal was quite choppy - and there is nothing in the gondola to hold on to - apart from the person in front

Walked to the Rialto Bridge area after arriving.

Took part in an Urban Tour in the evening - this involved walking parts of Venice not on the tourist trail - and having free food and wine in five bars.
