The Valkyrie Tiara

A sunny and breezy day

A nice walk down at Dundee Waterfront in the morning with a friend from church. She had never seen the V&A and the other new developments at the Waterfront and she thoroughly enjoyed it.

One of my favourite design items is the Valkyrie Tiara. Inspired by the female figure of Norse myth, these elegant, winged-tiaras enjoyed a vogue in the late 19th century, with this example once owned by the first (and last) Marquess of Crewe.

In the evening, my wife and I attended the Induction of a new Pastor to a nearby Baptist Church. It was a moving evening and a new beginning in the life of the Church.
