Miner’s Lettuce

The thin leaves of the miner’s lettuce seedlings are beginning to emerge. Unfortunately herb robert is already well established and will choke the lettuce if I don’t deal with it. Each robert plant has to be snipped off at ground level because if you pull them out they take the lettuce seedlings out too. Miner’s lettuce is very welcome as it is available at a time when I have no other greens in my garden.
