Fireweed from the Board(not boring)walk

I hiked in the Kinder Forest, hunting specifically for mushrooms.  I though the rain might have encouraged them to pop up, but no luck.  Instead I saw the end of the fireweed.  Only one flower to be found but the stems and seeds are still so interesting.  The main is the boardwalk I was on to take the shots.  Oh my...this thing needs some serious love.  Rotten boards had me walking very gingerly. I was on the power line at the top of the trail.  You can just see the towers.  Because it had rained, and was still drizzling, the lines were snapping and popping.  Always an electrifying hike!
