The pond

This morning some friends were meeting at a ceramic café nearby, so I popped in for a quick coffee. I did not fancy painting anything myself, and besides I only intended to stay a short while as had lots to do today.

On the way there I passed a pretty pond, and saw a very large egret and of course the usual ducks and moorhens. I was too far from the egret to get a good shot, but I plan to go back another time with my longer lens.

This pond is right next to the cricket club my son attends, and as cricket club season begins this week I am sure I will be able to get more photos of the birds in due course.
