Harvesting

I picked up T, drove to Ham, parked the car and walked to the Thames where we picked up the little ferry that goes between Ham House and Marble Hill House.  We enjoyed exploring MH House, a Georgian house and recently renovated.  We then headed back across the river to grab a drink in the NT property, Ham House.  T was aware that they were running lavender harvesting sessions but you had to book places.  We strolled in to be nosy and we were able to take part.  You could take away what you harvested if you wanted to. T and I each did one bush each and I also grabbed a couple more bunches left in the cart as we left.  We had a drink and chat and then headed home.  It was a lovely few hours in the warm sunshine.
