Autumn Light
I ventured up on the Wither Hills early this morning. It was the first time I had been up there, carrying a big camera and tripod, for a while .
But I was really annoyed with myself. I made a bad choice with regards to the route I took.
The sky looked very promising when I first set out . I thought quite rightly that we would have a spectacular red dawn. We did. And the best of it all happened whilst I was walking up the Quail Stream track, enclosed on three sides by hills and with very little views of the sky.
Everyone I met further up the hill enthused over the "Beautiful dawn sky". And I had missed it.
Apparently there was a group of photographers at the Lookout, all busy clicking away. I have no idea who they were but I am happy they captured some lovely shots.
So I had to make do with the views and sky after the red had faded. I have consoled myself with playing a little in Lightroom 4. I am not familiar with the brush tool but contented myself with a bit of fiddling with it. (I really must get into Scott Kelby's book....)
So here is the result to be seen in today's blip.
Tomorrow I may be luckier!
