Another hummer

I think it is a combination oft the right angle and no sun , but getting my male hummer facing me to catch the gorgeous red gorget  has been a real challenge that I have failed so far. However he has been letting me get a little closer. This is a new perch for him - on a dead blackberry cane. The extra is one of his two usual perches : on the apple tree near the two feeders on the pear that he guards. the other is the crook of the feeder on the porch. That is his favorite spot and he sits there on and off in the earlier mornings and afternoons. 
 Sirius continues to do better and we finally had a good rainstorm yesterday > a banner day. 
late putting this in again I fell asleep early on the couch last night. Apparently 30 min on the Nordic track now wipes me out.What a wimp.
