Circle of life

We've had more than our fair share of losses and heartbreak within a matter of weeks. First, Sydney our gorgeous eight year old Parson Russell terrier, then Beryl our magnificent Pekin Bantam, and finally Matilda, the most special little hen I've known. Hens don't like to be alone, so on the day of Beryl's passing we brought in three new girls to keep Matilda company; Miranda, Miriam and Myrtle. This is their first day free-ranging in the garden.
