A-peeling

Not a great one for kitchen gadgets, me - most of my cooking is done with the most basic and ancient of implements:  fingers, knife, spoon, pot.

But I make an honourable exception for my Apple Peeler.

I bought it in the Emmaeus charity shop just outside Cambridge: an interesting enamelled-green object that looks like a toasting fork married to a mincing machine.

And this is what happens when you use it!

Who could resist?
