Transalpine Scooter Safari

Members of the scooter safari taking a break before taking on the mountains. There were nearly 300 of them and they rode from Christchurch in the east to Hokitika in the west on their 50cc scooters. As you can see there was snow to contend with in the mountains. They raised almost $35,000 for the Cancer Society. Some of the riders were cancer survivors, and others took part in memory of loved ones.
