Flood

The rain arrived with a vengeance today - torrential and quite prolonged.  As usual, the dip in the road below the railway bridge flooded.  They have tried to cure this many times over the years, but it has never been entirely successful.

It isn't too deep this time, but it is difficult to judge as you approach it, and most drivers chose not to risk going through it.  Those who did seemed to view it as a challenge and chose to drive through at speed, throwing up a wave of water.  Fortunately no-one got stuck in it this time, though I have seen stranded cars there in the past.
