Starling Family
Behind the top of a downspout at the front of the house I've been painting, a starling couple is building a nest and will be hatching some babies. I can't see inside the nook where the nest is, and it seems to be big enough for only one of the birds at a time.
In the larger shot, a parent waits to enter the tiny cave, eyeing me a bit. In the smaller image, see its open wing as I capture its entry through the rungs of my ladder.
After the baby starlings have grown and flown I will return and block the hole with expanding foam.
This is my humble homage to a cute new Momma named Nest!
