Village Pond

Walked to the pond this morning. The water levels have dropped but not quite as much as I thought they might.
The Canada geese have all gone, but more mallards have arrived. 22 in all. I wonder if it is because other ponds in the area have dried up.

We had some overnight rain, but need much more. Fortunately no thunderstorms.
Today felt much cooler, and we actually put our jackets on just incase we had a shower.
However they weren’t needed.

Nice to see local girl, Lois Toulson from Cleckheaton, win a Gold Medal for diving at the European Games.

Extra photo of the blackberry, lemon, pudding we had yesterday. Absolutely delicious. It was for 4 people, but we had second helpings and ate it all!
