Seed-snacking parakeet

My birthday today :)  We had the day off work again, and we went for a birthday mudlark in the rain, down in Greenwich.  I didn't find anything particularly exciting, but it was just lovely being back there, and I even enjoyed getting rained on - a novelty after so long without any rain at all.

Had some lovely, thoughtful presents from Tim, and lots and lots of lovely messages from everyone.  Spoke to my Mum briefly in the morning, too.  Oh and the parakeets gave me a fly-by this afternoon - with several of them landing in the tree outside to snack on the Japanese maple seeds.

We rounded off the evening with a delicious Indian takeaway and a film (Escapists - very good).  Such a lovely day all round :)
