Verla
This glorious building was erected in 1885 to house the director of the then-new Verla Mill, which produced pulp and board in SE Finland. It was closed in 1964, and opened as an Industrial Museum in 1972. I've seen quite a number of these sites, but this is the finest. As was customary then, many workers and their bosses inhabited the environs. This house was recently restored and it now functions as the Museum's centre.
