Driving home for Christmas

I'm writing this on the 17th and I've been awake since 3.50am so only had about 3 and 1/2 hours sleep. Not sure I can be bothered to fill in all the details of the past few days tbh.

So on this day i also had a shit nights sleep, waking at around 4 but French time, not sure if that makes a difference. Rob was a wake too so eventually we got up and got ready to set off up to Calais. Left the gite at 6.15am and had the best journey we've ever had up to Calais bar the debacle around getting petrol. Arrived at Eurotunnel about 5.30 and had Ruben checked through easily so drove through the flexiplus to get the next train. 
got home by 6 English time to a practically dead garden but live animals so all well really. 
Butty was ecstatic to see us and Ruben was beside himself to be home.
