Puzzling!

Corinthian took Bronte out for the morning walk today so that I could rest my ever swelling ankle!  Talk about “cankles”!  C then had an invitation to go on an afternoon out with a friend from this village.  Bronte and I played ball for a while and then late afternoon I took her a short walk down to the village green.  I sat on a bench whilst she had a good sniff around the pond area.  Walking back I photographed the cones on a huge Monkey Puzzle tree which is near to the house where we are staying.  I’ve never seen one with cones before and they are enormous.  The female tree bears these “fruits” and they each contain around 300 seeds.  Fascinating to see, although as it is the second time I’ve photographed them I think the householder is wondering if I’m casing the joint!  Kept my foot elevated all evening, but it hasn’t reduced at all - it doesn’t feel quite as painful though.  Maybe just a slight sprain.  It will be fine soon I’m sure.
