Grey Heron

It was quite wet this morning as you can tell from the young one. The crows looked even worse as they are moulting just now. I fed the young one then followed her as she flew back to the water's edge to be joined by the older female. I gave them both a feed then went round to the clearing and fed the youngest one until the male chased it. I finished off what I had with the male.
This afternoon the male was at the clearing so I started feeding him. A woman and her grandson(?) stopped to watch. This is generally fine but she was on her mobile and talking very loud. The male is quite nervous so he flew to the middle of the loch. I made my way slightly further round and was joined by the young one. Only to be joined again by the woman on her phone. The young one backed off a bit and was joined by the male who was even further back. I was still able to feed them until a complete idiot approached with 3 out of control dogs, one of which jumped the fence onto the loch side and scared everything away. I told the idiot what I thought of his dog control and he mumbled some sort of apology as he tried to lift the dog back over the fence before the other two ran too far away. There was no way either of the two heron were going to come back so the woman and her child went off as well.
I made my way to the clearing just on the off chance and was joined by the really young heron who got the rest of the feed.
I have been quite spoiled by the lack of idiots who can't control their dogs so hopefully it will not have scared the heron too much and we will be back to normal tomorrow..
