Taking shelter

Yesterday evening it RAINED, yay, big delicious ploppy plops of water. It rained for about 3 minutes and then stopped the smell was wonderful. It rained a few more times for about the same length of time during the night, the earth will be grateful, l am.

The birds are grateful, l realise l am hearing them chirping outside for the first time in ages. Before there was just a rather oppressive silence.
