Flat Sharing

Four of the five brooding hens were moved on Thursday with their 5 offspring to new ground floor flats. One of the hens abandoned her eggs & chick but they were quickly adopted by the others who after one night in seperate flats decided to put all their eggs in one basket. Now there are some eight chicks being brought up by all 4. One hen is responsible for sitting on the eggs, the rest look after food & water.
This shot was taken after they had gone to bed so one can only (just) see 2 chicks. I have had a bad weekend so wasn't out & about to take a better photo.
