On this day day 70 years ago two things happened,
1. A flash flood in Lynmouth, Devon killing 34 people.
2. Mr PC entered the world.

We took a drive into Altnaharra (1/2 horse town) and had a birthday drink at the hotel before returning to the camp site. We stop to look over the loch where there is a site of cleared forestry and my eye was taken by the fir cones still clinging on.

Tonight we dine in a very pleasant restaurant “ A La Carte Phoebe “.

Tonight I’m sitting nursing my numerous midge bites.
