Mould on The Skin of The Custard

The fossil tree walk yesterday has made quite an impression on me.  Talked at length to M about it.  He said it makes you realise how insignificant human existence is in relation to how much time has passed since the earth with its molten centre formed, we are like a bit of mould on the skin of the custard.
