Calm on West Voe beach
Another calm day at the south end of Shetland - and some thick fog to go with it. Once the fog had lifted it was a splendid day for sea watching, with both basking shark and a minke whale cruising past Sumburgh Head within a few minutes of each other.
I was particularly pleased to see the basking shark - increasingly common visitors to the islands, but I've always managed to be in the wrong place - next time I'll try and get the photo too!
