Not according to plan

The alarm went off at 6:30am and, eventually, I got up to prepare for work. I decided to do a second COVID test to reassure people that the lingering cough is not infectious. I had a shower, dressed and packed my bag. As I was leaving I checked the test I had just taken and it was very clearly still positive. I had to abandon the plan to go into the office, reschedule the pricing meeting as a partly remote session, and continue to work from home.  Initially, I was quite disappointed but, by the end of the day, I was relieved that I was sitting at home and didn’t have to commute back. My bag sat in the hallway until the evening and I just worked from my home computer.
