Beach Flora
Another beach walk from Weybourne this morning but A and I walked in the direction of Salthouse. The tide was in so the beach that was exposed was all shingle. It was great to see some of the wild plants growing along the back of the beach. There were a great many bramble bushes with ripening blackberries, the yellow horned poppy, the flowers of which have gone over now but the extraordinary long seed capsules are abundant (see extra).
My main blip is the pretty field bindweed which seems to be able to grow almost anywhere but looks particularly attractive growing over the beach pebbles.
