My days ...My life

By ElspethAnne

Killearn on Sunday afternoon.

I unusually had a Sunday afternoon to myself and , also unusually , I decided to not to fill it with the things that are easier done alone at home .
This is one of my new favourite places :)
A cafe in a a converted church with great community information, an exchange library and seed exchange library. And the most wonderful view !
Killearn is 40 minutes from us and these days there is a tension about using petrol , but I really like the village . There is a great menu and the staff are lovely . I asked if they had icecream that was not on the menu which was brought to me in a lovely wee bowl and there was a cool breeze on the balcony - I really enjoyed their view from the kitchen window and some peace .

The other delight is The Panik Gallery open only at the weekends selling beautiful fabric remnants and quirky decorative pieces and small items of furniture It has been a nice day . But , the kitchen is still chaotic - the guy is coming next weekend supposedly to finish the electrics, worktops and tiling. I am really fed up with the delays !
