Spring stuff

Managed to finish our paekivi (limestone) walkway today. The final touch was filling the cracks with sand and we wanted it to be from the seaside. All this going to the gym thing really pays off when you have to carry massive stones or forty kilos of wet sand. I had a little help carrying the sand from mom and Anni. It seemed, that 15 kg would have been more then enough but who knew :)

Because we didn't but up a nest last year, this birdie in the picture (Kuldnokk, Starling, Sturnus vulgaris) moved to our humble nest instead ... penthouse floor of course. We can't see the nest, but guessing by the sound, they have about 3-4 little offspring's and man are they hungry :)

My humble opinion is that limestone is way better than gold. First you can't build shit from cold ok ... you can buy a house with it, but try to find some lying on the ground. Secondly there is no blood spilled over limestone so it is a peaceful natural resource. We have a lot of limestone in our soil and you can take it for free if you can find a right spot. I know a spot ;) Sometime I'll show you the walkway.
