Today's the day ..................... to eat tomato

Will picked our very first ripe tomato today from the polytunnel - which may or may not be later in the season than other folk?

It was well worth the wait though because it was so juicy and bursting with flavour - and with a skin so thin that you didn't notice it was there.  What's more, it was huge - a complete handful.

I did mean to check to see just how much it actually weighed - but I'm afraid it's much too late for that.  Between us, we scoffed the lot during the course of lunch ....................!
