Pooh Sticks

Becky organised a woodland walk for us this morning so that we could see something of the Cotswolds without baking. It was very pleasant beneath the trees.  On the way back to the holiday cottage, we paused at a country cafe for a lunch of very tasty sandwiches before relaxing out of the heat for a while.

Euan wanted to paddle in the stream so we walked down the hill to the ford where we spent a fun hour or so paddling and  playing Pooh sticks on the old bridge. Euan was transfixed when vehicles drove through the Ford. 

Back at the cottage the family re organised to go shopping and have ice creams, and I stayed home to rest up after the heat.
