Happy Hols Day 8

Refreshing to be in Aix-En-Provence, a different culture to Spain. We arrived in the dark last night and had a slight let down caused by the poor finish, distribution and awkward roof top location of our room. We were a little down in the dumps as we walked into the centre for a late night beer, although the hotel had said they’d try and change us today which they did. We’re delighted with the new room and verandah (Room 101, Odalys Les Floridians). . . talk about chalk and cheese!

It was hot and humid and the sky grew grey and growly, before some torrential downpours at different times. We still enjoyed exploring the town which has had some sensitive and well implemented developments in the centre and, generally, was looking Provence-pretty no matter what street we looked down, with ochre facades and pale blue shutters everywhere.
