I had bought this large pot of flowers cheaply to put in the garden but decided to keep it inside instead of cut flowers. A bad mistake really as it was too hot indoors and after a few days all the flowers just wilted and died.
This heatwave has not been as intense as the one in July but has lasted longer and been about 4° less. There has been no escape from the heat inside and although l have lived in warm countries l am finding it more difficult to cope this time around. I am off on a trip to the Suffolk coast today and am hoping for a bit of a sea breeze.
