Two Men On A Boat

On a gloriously hot day. We tackled 5 locks as we came out of Chester this morning. P, T, E & myself were certainly a help as far as my dad & M (pictured) were concerned. And not to mention a fellow boater who doubled up with us. We found a perfect spot under-shade by the Cheshire Cat pub and had lunch on the tow path. The rest of the day was, well, rather hot, and perhaps a bit too much for canal boating despite the afternoon run being lock-free. Tomorrow will hopefully be less torturous: same amount of locks but shorter journey plus a bit more under cover.
