It Felt So Good

I promised hubby some French toast for breakfast. It is Parker’s fav so I let him know there was some here for him also. It was a beautiful sunny day so I worked a bit more on the butterfly bushes. Only have the hard to reach dead blossoms left. Hubby started gathering stuff for the camping trip. We are “victims” of tv ads. They keep showing a commercial for “hush puppy breaded fish.” They look delectable. So, hubby took me out to get some after showering off all the sweat from being in the sun. This was my first outing since having COVID. We grabbed “fish and chips” and went to the waterfront to enjoy them away from others. There was not a cloud in the brilliant blue sky. The breeze was pleasant, the food delicious; it just felt so good to be out of quarantine! We found an out of the way bench and watched the boaters enjoying the glorious day on the water. There were pleasure boats, sailboats, paddle boarders, canoes, jet skis, kayaks, a pontoon, every type of boat. We came home and I did laundry, hubby napped. No need for dinner so, once I fold and put away laundry, the time is ours. Terrible news. A former principal and friend of my daughter has giant cell myocarditis. She is probably in her 40’s and is now on the heart transplant list so the heart damage must be severe. She was getting ready to go on their family vacation and thought she had a cold/flu. We have read the infection can be linked to COVID or even the vaccine. Kim hasn’t heard if the doctors suspect that link. She can certainly use prayers. Stay well folks and follow up on any illness, small or large. Thanks for stopping by. "Twenty years from now, you will be more disappointed by the things you didn't do than those you did. So throw off the bowlines...sail away from safe harbor...catch the trade winds in your sails...explore...dream....discover." - Mark Twain
