At 930 this evening my washer was reinstated after 2 months of launderette visits. The kitchen is still not usable but progress is progress I suppose.

I have had the builders in for 12 hours today, their choice not mine. My house doesn't feel like my home and I can't get anything productive done anyway. I cleared off for a massage. I was only gone for an hour and they managed to trip the burglar alarm which resulted in 23 missed calls to me and a visit from the police followed by 45 minutes on the phone trying to persuade the alarm company to reset it.

I would recommend I take deep breaths but I can't because of the flipping dust!
