Piepaljärvi Wilderness Church

Today our target was to hike at Pieplajärvi area in Inari, where is an old church in the middle of wilderness 10 kilometers away from Inari village. The original church was built 1646-1648, but it was replaced 1760 with current shape and renewed 1846 and it is still up in the same condition. Of course regular maintenanace has been made since then.

In the extras one photo from inside the churc and one photo outside of the church, where is a meadow with sheeps, that are living there on summer. The second extra shows one beautiful place from the hiking track, which was one of the most greatest tracks I've ever walked regarding natural environment. There were also 28 geocaches on that trail. All in all 15,5 kilometers we hiked today and few more geocaches from Inari village after that.
