Free Cake

Tried to buy a book in Ilkley yesterday for my holiday reading, couldn’t get it at the independent or WH  Smith so it had to be a quick trip into Leeds.
Got an early bus and changed seats a couple of times to avoid the sun.
Got my book and a few mini sized toiletries then returned an item to John Lewis.
Remembered l was entitled to free cake as a reward so had a slice of Lemon and Orange Grove Cake, very nice but a bit too much frosting, so l left some of that.
Enjoyed sitting in the air conditioned cafe which was busier than it looks on here.
Topped up on water then had a hot journey home but l had my hat and sunglasses on and all the windows were open , providing a gentle breeze.
Got home and did nothing, was going to pack tonight but it still feels too hot to do anything so will wait until morning.

Think l mentioned a while ago there had been some good news about the girls and their dancing.
They passed numerous rounds of auditions in Birmingham and London and all three have been accepted to this year’s National Youth Ballet residential at Elmwood.
Tomorrow they start boarding there for two weeks then will perform on stage in Birmingham for two nights and a week later at Sadler’s Wells in London.
Obviously l will be going to both!
