Swim

Quick market shop.  Peaches on Monday were 50p each, gone up Friday to 75p.  This is going to be the trend for imports, I think.  Plums of different varieties are good value though strawberries and raspberries pricey and not many raspberries in a punnet.

The outdoor pool temperature was a refreshing 22.8°C, warmed by nothing more than the sun and air.  The booking system is excellent and means there's enough space to swim without being bumped or bumping into anyone.  But it does require planning rather than a spontaneous turn up for a swim.   
It's 100 yards (91,44m) long with shallow ends and deep centre.  Managed 10 lengths for my first swim this summer.  Feeling fit afterwards.  Must be more disciplined on booking next week. 

Added Waldorf salad to the salads I make for dinner. Delicious though it was, it felt too warm to eat.

Next few days are going to be as hot as Greece, southern Italy and Cyprus. Minus the sea. :-(((
