Ring of Fire

this crazy upside down circular bullet train was one of the carnival rides during this weekend's annual rhododendron festival in florence.
the kids came down from portland and corvallis for the weekend, and we checked out the hundreds of motorcycles on bay street and booths and carnival rides before ending the afternoon with a walk on the warm nearly windless north jetty beach.
tomorrow is the grand floral parade at noon. we'll set up chairs on bay street and watch the floats and bands pass by.
