In the Park

I met my daughter in the park for lunch and a stroll. This was our view as we sat on a bench in the shade to cool down. The poor grass and cricket pitch is brown. Very few sunbathing on it when normally it would be packed!! No runners on the running track or even round the park. Very quiet. Every day it’s a bit hotter than the day before. It was about 33c today in the afternoon and the same inside my flat so I’ve had the fan on. I’m late posting this blip at 2.11am it’s 22c outside and 29c inside and I’m wide awake!!
