Alan was up and out with Vikki to go to a Carnie Fruit Farm in Cupar and all went well till they got a puncture on the way home! Thankfully breakdown services were quick to respond, returning Alan's car home while Alan and Vikki got a taxi (thankfully they were in Perth when the puncture was noticed so they weren't too far from home) Alan thought it a great adventure!
Meanwhile Gail and LeeAnne arrived and we took ourselves out to the garden. First time it's been possible to sit out there this summer.
The sun was shining, the prosecco was chilled, the nibbles were tasty and the chat was good. We may have gotten rather animated during some discussions so I apologise to any neighbours who may have also been enjoying their gardens.
Gail went for a swim and LeeAnne dangled her legs in the pool whilst D and I set about getting dinner ready. An easy meal - bruschetta to start, lasagne, salad and garlic and rosemary bread to follow, and fresh strawberries, blackberries, raspberries and blueberries with fresh cream and chewy meringues. Lola stole the napkins from laps as usual :-)
After dinner we settled in the garden room and continued to put the world to rights. I think we should be in charge of the world :-))
We were quite well behaved though and in bed before 2am, with a reminder to LeeAnne to keep the blind on the velux window closed in her room, as Tommy and Tony would be working on the roof around that window in the morning!
