Stacks of these beehives are clogging up the office, long pre-dating my arrival. They need to be shifted to target community sites. NGO projects very regularly include some token apiculture, but rarely at a scale needed to create tangible, sustained impact. In Mozambique I worked on various conservation-friendly honey enterprises at scale, but couldn’t get any off the ground at the time. I’m at it again here, seeing what we can scope and roll out in the vast miombo woodland landscapes of southern Tanzania.
