A bit of a corny shot

Today we got the good news that a holiday we had originally booked for April 2020 and which had been postponed twice due to Covid is finally going ahead; something to look forward to.

Another hot day, and other than a walk to the paper shop this morning I've not been out.  We'd planned a barbecue this evening and W was making a toasted sweetcorn salsa (Delia's summer collection) so as I was stripping the leaves off the sweetcorn I took this shot; a sort of 'still life'.  It went very well with the lamb chops which I'd initially 'sous-vided' in a garlic and rosemary butter and then finished on the grill.
