Shall we dance?

Time to say goodbye and start the journey home. We decided to go the Peterborough route. For old times sake we stopped briefly at the bridge at Wansford, then continued on to Rutland Water where we went to investigate the two nature reserves. We went to the closest hide at one and had a good view over the water. The cormorants seemed to be doing relay races across the water, a red kite flew overhead and this heron decided to make a landing right in front of us. I think it looks as though it is doing a pirouette. We then went to the other reserve, had lunch and spent a bit of time in the adjacent hide watching the small birds on the feeders.
Finally we headed back to Mum's and finished with fish and chips.
