Hello!

Every year I grow a few sunflowers from seed. Most years, summer can be over before they bloom. This one has managed to open while summer is still with us and its companions should open soon too.
It’s far too hot to spend much time outside even in the shade today, but I’ve been making notes of how well the various vegetables, fruit and flowers have done this year. Vegetables excluding potatoes have been poor, fruits seem to have done well, most flowers too, with a few exceptions.
Oh and one peacock butterfly has appeared!
