Littleport Feofees 1981

Apparently, Littleport has had feoffees since at least 1981. Who knew?

I had to pop out today. It was 31°C and I boiled. At least the extreme heat warning is only amber this time, not red.

Everything outside was still, even when the odd car passed, like it was muffled by the heat. The sky was relentlessly blue, the grass deathly brown. The roadworks were many and inactive; orange-edged holes between temporary traffic lights.
