The ringers from Saint Paul’s

The ringers from Saint Paul’s cathedral have arrived and this morning they attempted a peal but, because the conductor missed a call, the peal failed after 70 minutes. It should have been a peal of 41 surprise methods stitched together. I went along to the church for a ringing practice at the end of the afternoon and to have a look at the exhibition that has been laid out. Having the luxury of ringing with such competent ringers, I was able to attempt two touches of methods I had not rung before and with the odd word in my ear, I was able to complete them.
