From little acorns ….

Despite the dry weather these acorns looked fresh and plump .
The oak tree was growing by a small stream so we presume that it’s roots have remained well watered .
It’s 29 degrees inside and warmer out , I’m glad I didn’t waste my money on a holiday on the med !
I’ve just put our granddaughter to bed , she got a bit upset when her parents called but after a bit of a cry and an episode of Peppa Pig she was cheerful again ! I’m watching her on the baby monitor as I write as she tries to settle herself . She has had a busy day so will hopefully sleep deeply . I was awake most of the night on high alert so am hoping for a better sleep tonight. Dave slept downstairs on an air bed with Bramble , otherwise she would whine and then bark . He had to get up several times in the night to blow it up so he has been out to get a replacement. We will watch the final episode of Bridgerton then go to bed .
