A bit of colour on a grey day

St Philip's church in Hassall Green. There's some info about it in Wikipedia, but nothing about why it's pink!

I've driven past this multiple times over the years: this is the first time I've stopped and taken a proper look (must be this blipping thingy...). It's been pink for the last 30 years to my knowledge, maybe it has been for its whole existence, and it's obviously been painted regularly.

This has been firtled with a little: iPhoto's auto enhance to give the pink a little extra glow, plus a slight grey gradient to darken the sky a little as in real life it looked much more grey and threatening. But the church really is this colour!
